When it feels like our God of order is asking us to disorder everything

I am a firm believer that nothing good comes out of being comfortable. Actually, let me rephrase that: nothing with eternal value comes out of being comfortable. But we like our comfort. And oftentimes, when God nudges us off the path of familiarity and calls us to follow Him to a place unknown, the disordered feelings (“wait, what? He couldn’t possibly be asking me to do this…to let go of this…to surrender this…this is so good!”) overpower our trust in our Father, who, in our heads, we know is a God of perfect order. But our hearts? They doubt. They question. They have side conversations with the devil. And well, that never ends well.

This morning I was pleasantly surprised by clarity and confirmation, being given the eyes to see the good in my life today, because of the uncomfortable decision I made years ago; the ability to recognize that when God calls us to a life of seemingly disorder here on earth, He is in fact, ordering our eternity.

Join me in the coop today and let’s dive deeper into this…I have a personal story I feel called to share…
